This itinerary maximizes game viewing while minimizing travel and concludes with a scenic flight back to Arusha. You’ll also explore the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in wildlife and breathtaking scenery.

This 5-day adventure takes you through some of Southern Tanzania’s most breathtaking landscapes—from the open plains of Mikumi, to the vast wilderness of Ruaha, and the lush rainforests of Udzungwa Mountains. Each day offers a unique mix of wildlife encounters, scenic drives, and cultural highlights, giving you a well-rounded and unforgettable safari experience.
Day 1: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Your day begins with a hotel pickup and a warm welcome from your safari guide, followed by a scenic two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its ancient baobab trees and high concentration of elephants, the park offers stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife.
During an exciting game drive, you might see giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and potentially lions or leopards. Lunch will be at the Tarangire River picnic site, where you can relax and enjoy the river views, keeping an eye out for playful monkeys and curious baboons.

Day 2: NGORONGORO CRATER
Start your day with an early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater Visit the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a stunning wildlife sanctuary.
Enjoy a morning game drive on the crater floor, where you can see wildebeest, zebras, elephants, hippos, and predators like lions and cheetahs. Stop for a picnic lunch at Hippo Lake, surrounded by beautiful views. End your day at Lake Magadi, a soda lake often filled with flamingos and vibrant birdlife.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, travel from Ngorongoro to the vast plains of Serengeti National Park—head to the Seronera region, known for its excellent wildlife viewing and the Seronera River.
Enjoy a scenic game drive to your lodge, with lunch followed by an afternoon drive to witness wildlife in action in the golden light.

Day 4: Central Serengeti National Park
Start your day with an optional hot air balloon safari for stunning views of the plains (available by pre-booking). After breakfast, take a full-day game drive through the Seronera region, famous for its diverse wildlife, including elephants and lions.
Depending on the season, you might see the Great Migration or newborn wildebeest, making this a thrilling safari day.

Day 5: WESTERN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we depart for the Western Serengeti National Park, leaving behind the central Serengeti. The Western Corridor, marked by the Grumeti and Mbalageti rivers, features lush forests that support a variety of wildlife, including zebras, wildebeest, predators, and diverse bird species.
You’ll often see large hippo pods and crocodiles in the Grumeti River. Mid-morning, witness the spectacular sight of wildebeest gathering around waterholes in vast numbers.

Day 6: Western Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in the Western Corridor of the Serengeti, a key area during the Great Migration. The Grumeti and Mbalageti Rivers support lush forests and diverse wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, and various birds.
You may also see hippos and large crocodiles along the Grumeti River, as well as massive gatherings of wildebeest by the waterholes.

Day 7: Western Serengeti to Arusha
Following breakfast, take a final game drive to the Grumeti airstrip, enjoying your last views of Serengeti wildlife. Mid-morning, board your flight back to Arusha, where our driver will transfer you to town.
After a relaxing lunch and some reflection on your safari, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, concluding your memorable African adventure.
